How do I get an internship with GHD?

Steven Nield

Graduate Recruitment Lead

Answer: Getting an internship at GHD is very similar to the process for getting a graduate position. It's often why we look at our interns as future graduates.

A good application should demonstrate how your technical background and the experiences that you've had relate to a business like GHD.

You should think about your academic background and how that might fit into the team you're interested in or the job that you've seen. Try and articulate this, especially in your cover letter, by writing a narrative about yourself and your skills that relate to the role your applying for. You should back this up with reference to the skills that prior formal or informal work and academic experience has given you.

We're not expecting internship candidates to have had previous professional work experience. We don't expect you to have already worked as an engineer, architect or scientist - we know that an internship is designed to give you this experience, so don't stress about this.

Having said that, any experience or skills you have and can talk about in your application makes it much easier for us to progress you through to the next phase of our recruitment process.
