Ashurst 2024 IT Winter Internship

Are you looking for a 2024 IT Winter Internship with a commercial difference? At Ashurst, we're looking for IT Interns like you with a rare kind of mindset: an openness to the way you work, an agility to the way you think, and a strong desire to keep evolving as a professional.

As a global law firm with a rich history spanning 200 years, we've established ourselves as a leading adviser to corporates, financial institutions and governments, on all areas of the law including finance, M&A, disputes and competition. With 31 offices across the world's leading financial and resource centres, we offer the reach and insight of a global network combined with deep local market knowledge. In an era of ever increasing technological change and demand, we recognise the importance of IT to the success of Ashurst.

If you want to enrich and expand your worldview, grow your skills and influence new ways of thinking, all within a global law firm, we'd like to hear from you!

We are looking for interns in the following areas of our IT Department:

  • Application Support
  • Desktop Engineers
  • Service Delivery
  • Infrastructure
  • Security Analysts

 Recruitment steps

Apply online before midnight on Tuesday, 23 April 2024.

Students must be in their final year of an IT degree to be eligible. You also need to have Australian citizenship or be a permanent resident at the time of application.

Complete our psychometric assessment between Wednesday, 24 April and midnight Sunday 28 April 2024.

There's absolutely no Ashurst "type". We want to actively involve a broad range of minds with a broad range of backgrounds, all united by a common set of strengths. These strengths include a passion for Ashurst, outstanding communication skills, analytical ability, commercial awareness, teamwork and resilience.

Interviews will take place from Thursday 2 May 2024.

Receive an offer to Intern with Ashurst for 4 weeks - 17 June to 12 July 2024.

The aim of our Internship is to expose you to as much real work as possible, to help you to make an informed decision about whether the Ashurst 2025 IT Graduate Program is the right opportunity for you. Offers for the 2025 Graduate program will be made at the end of the internship.

But it's not all work! There's also a chance to get involved in understanding the different areas of IT and Legal practices through workshops, team-building events to understand how we work together, and social events to get to know our teams away from the bustle of daily life.

The internship program will run from Monday, 17 June through to Friday, 12 July on a fixed term, full time basis. In addition to gaining valuable experience, working as an Intern presents an opportunity for you to join our Graduate Program. We offer most of our graduate roles to people who have completed an internship in one of our offices.

Ashurst 2025 IT Graduate Program

If you secure a role in the Ashurst 2025 IT Graduate Program, you will be part of a team that is involved in running the firm's technology and delivering programs and IT projects from beginning to end. The programs are closely tied to the strategic direction of the firm, as well as the policies and initiatives that are influenced and shaped by the change drivers.
